BACK UP YOUR PHOTOS!!! Whatever system you choose to use it is really important that you back up your precious photos to some place other than your hard drive. I have been a stickler about this since starting this business. I'm not saying you need to go to the lengths and expense that I have, but learned yesterday how incredibly important it is to make sure every one of my files have a back up. I was proofing some images and all the sudden smoke starts pouring out of the back of my computer tower. I shut it down and unplugged everything. Before you panic, ALL YOUR IMAGES ARE SAFE AND UNHARMED! My computer is fried basically, but every image including my own family photos had been backed up and for that I am so thankful. I am also thankful that I was home as it could have burned down my whole house. For that I don't have a back up! My computer is under warranty, and I have business insurance as well so it will all be taken care of. Just some friendly advice for the day!
